Here's
my "cred". I've been credited in the
following titles. Dark
Reign, Quake II, Quake II Mission Pack: Ground
Zero, Heretic II, Quake III Arena, Quake II
(Mac), Tenchu (Playstation), Tony Hawk Pro Skater
(Playstation), Toy Story 2 (Playstation), Drakan,
Sin, Quake III Arena, Hexen II Mission Pack:
Portal of Praevus, Soldier of Fortune, Tony
Hawk Pro Skater (N64), & Dark Reign II.
Of course these were all in more
or a Quality Assurance type of thing which meant
playing these games for hours and days which
actually helped learn a lot about games. I often
got to spend a week or two with the developers
and was able to see the development process
first hand. Getting to know them also led to
the opportunity to move into the designer realm.
I
was a designer on Civ:
Call to Power which was the last internal
Activision title before they decided to exclusively
publish. From there I got on at Gray Matter
as a designer / scripter on Return
to Castle Wolfenstein before I accepted
a position at Raven Software. I briefly worked
in some of the Jedi Academy
before moving to the Quake
4 project. I did many things on Quake
4 like design, 3D Modeling, and finally
scripting. I found scripting the most rewarding
because you get to actually create the game
play and the situations the player encounters.
So on the next project I mainly scripted. Wolfenstein
was ironically that next project. I never expected
to work on a Wolfenstein title again since I
was now working at an entirely different company
but it happened. So I've basically been a part
of every id Software title since Quake Mission
Packs.

Since
I work on mainly first person shooters during
the day I play a lot of role playing and racing
games in my free time. But I'm actually pretty
open to play anything that's fun. Ultimately
I'm a gamer which is a label I'm okay with,
geek not so much but gamer is fine.
